You can view all the pages and forum content as a guest. You only need to register an account if you want to post on the forums. Everybody is welcome to register and use the forum, whether or not you are an LLAA member.
Creating an account
On the right hand side of any page, click on the ‘Register’ link.
Type in your desired username and email address
Your password will be automatically emailed to the address you provide.
Logging in
Type your username and password into the boxes on the right hand side of any page and click the ‘Log In’ button.
The Dashboard
Once you log in, a grey bar appears at the top of the web page, with links to various parts of the Dashboard area. The Dashboard is the WordPress user area, where you control your account. When using the Dashboard, you can return to the main LLAA website at any time by clicking the ‘Littleover Lane Allotments’ text on the grey bar at the top of the screen.
Changing your password
Log in using your existing username and password.
On the right of the grey bar, hover over ‘Howdy, username’ and select Change password
Enter your new password and repeat it in the box below.
You are shown how strong your password is. Mix capital letters, lower case and numbers for the best result.
Once you have finished, click the blue ‘Update Profile’ button at the bottom of the page to save your changes.
Using the forum
Once you are logged in, you can create topics or replies. This can be done from the Dashboard, but it is more straightforward to do it directly on the main forum page, as follows:
Create a New Topic
Click on the ‘Forum’ tab in the top menu. Scroll down the topic list and click the ‘New Topic’ button.
Add a title, your main text and any relevant keywords.
Click the ‘Submit’ button.
Create a Reply
Click on the ‘Forum’ tab in the top menu.
Click on the topic in the list that you wish to reply to.
Scroll down the page and type your reply in the text box.
Add any relevant keywords and click the ‘Submit’ button.
Editing a topic or reply
For five minutes after posting, you can edit your topic or reply.
Click on your topic.
Click on ‘Edit’ – located above the main text of your topic to the right of the posting date.
Edit your text and click the ‘Submit’ button.
