It’s that time of year again, and we’re getting ready for the first of our open days! Join us on Sunday 26th April, from 11am to 3pm, for what promises to be a lively and enjoyable day on the allotments.
As always, there will be plenty to see and do. Visitors can enjoy our refreshments and plant sales, along with the return of two popular favourites: the plant tombola and bric-a-brac stalls. If you have any items you’d like to donate to support these stalls, please do get in touch, contributions are always appreciated.
We’re also pleased to offer an opportunity for our talented members who are ‘makers’ to showcase and sell their creations. If you’re a home crafter and would like to take advantage of the footfall on the day, you can book a pitch for a £5 donation. Sellers will need to bring their own table and can set up on the hard standing near the memorial garden for part or all of the day. If you’re interested in taking part, please reach out for more details.
For everyone’s safety, the main gates will be closed for the duration of the event, and access will be pedestrian-only. Members visiting their plots by car are asked to use the bottom access point.
Finally, we’ll be busy preparing the site on Saturday 25th and the morning of Sunday 26th, and we’d love your help. Volunteers are always welcome, whether you can spare an hour or the whole day, every bit of support helps make the event a success and contributes to future improvements across the site.
We look forward to seeing you there!
